My life starts out as the oldest and only daughter of 3 kids. My father served in the Army my entire childhood. So I grow up as what they call a "military brat". Army life guaranteed our family relocating every 3-4 years. Moving to different places and discovering new things was amazing. However meeting new people was never easy for me. Due to my shy personality, I found myself low on the friend spectrum in most cases. After a while I learned that it didn’t make sense to even try to make friends because it was inevitable that I would be moving as soon as I began to know that other person. Needless to say that has transitioned to my adulthood. Through many trials I'm finally discovering the woman with in.
Divorced with 4 small children to raise, I dealt with thoughts of fear and doubt while having to recreate myself. Many layers of guilt, rejection, and shame had to be removed from my life. I had to discover who I truly was.
Through it all, I learned how to manage all the pieces of my life that matter most.
I obtained two master degrees, authored a book, "Stand", and instructed at a major university for 10 years. I also accomplished my dream of being a successful homeowner.
My children are the reason for my WHY. It's because of my desire to be provide the best for them that I've pushed myself to accomplish all that I have. They have brought me my greatest joy and inspiration. I love being their 'Momma"
